Journal - What are your hobbies and extra curricular activities? Where do you spend your free time? Tell me three of your favorite things (movies, TV show, magazine, sport, color, etc.)

     My hobbies are probably hanging out with my friends and family, go for a walk when its warm, listening to music everyday when i get home from school or anywhere, and going to Starbucks   Where i mostly spend my free time would be at my house or my friends house also.  My three most favorite things would probably be Starbucks, "A Walk To Remember" is one of my favorite movies, my favorite TV show is "Teen Wolf," my favorite color is purple, i also love the movie Beastly because i read the book and i thought it was really good.  Another favorite thing of mine is Forever 21, Nike high tops, and the last thing that's my favorite is converse shoes.

Journal - What are some qualities of a good presentation? How can you make a boring presentation interesting? Explain.

    Some qualities of a good presentation is your personality, being excited, and also having a good attitude.  From making a boring presentation interesting is to maybe make some cool effects to it and not so much words added to your presentation.  Another good advice to make your boring presentation interesting you should try to get their attention and make your presentation look interesting because honestly some of the students might not be paying attention if your presentation only involves a lot of words but you can maybe a sentence about one of your topics on a slide but you could put effects to your pictures so they will pay attention to what they look like instead of hearing what they look like.  You can also have a good attitude towards your audience and not stand there like you want to be over with your presentation.

Journal - Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it."

        I actually disagree with the statement saying how " images on the internet are free game and if someone posted i should be able to use it"  i disagree with this statement because i don't think people should post something that they don't know for sure if its illegal or not because that could be dangerous if you posted the same image that the other person on the internet has posted.  I also disagree because like i said it could be illegal to post an image that is not needed and i think other people shouldn't go off of what other people are doing or saying because it could lead them to a bad cause which wouldn't be good especially if the person who posted the image was dangerous and everyone on the internet can see it and you wouldn't be able to take it back.

Journal - What is the importance of online safety and protecting your information? What do you do to protect yourself online? Share an experience you or someone you know has had with online safety.

               The importance of online safety is be careful what you post online and make sure you know who you are talking to.  Another importance of online is don't communicate with people you don't know online in case they could be dangerous or they could even locate your address or something important about you if you give out information which you shouldn't do.  I think you should always be safe online because if you have something that's private people could post online like Facebook or even Twitter.  If you want to protect your information you should always keep it to yourself and not show where other people you don't know can see it.  To protect yourself online you should not share private information to people you don't know you.

Journal - Tell me what you know about Web 2.0. List example Web 2.0 sites. Are you on any sites that let you “post” information? What are those sites? How often do you use them? What do you post on them?

     What i know about Web 2.0 is you can post information on different types of websites online.  I am on now one of those sites and the sites that i'm aware of are Facebook, Twitter is the one i use, Instagram especially, Vine, Youtube,  and the last one is Tumblr.  I actually don't usually use Facebook that much since i"v had one for a long time, but the ones that i mainly use are Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, and Vine.  I often use those sites everyday but i mostly go on Instagram on my phone after school or any other time, I get on Vine if i want to watch something funny so i actually go on Vine two days a week or even on the weekends, then i get on Youtube every single day because i like to watch entertaining or funny videos that i know, and i only go on Twitter once a week because i don't usually feel like getting on Twitter sometimes.  On Instagram i post pictures of course of me, quotes, or of my family and friends, i don't post anything on Youtube because i watch videos instead of putting one up myself, on Vine i post videos of events i'm doing, and on Twitter i post about everything mainly that comes to my mind.

Journal - After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

                After watching the short clip of the speech, I took away that you have to be smart and generous.  I took that away from his speech because it is the most important part of who you should be.  You also have an opportunity on making your own choices and do smart things because it leads you to better causes.  The other thing I took away is when he said that everyone around you that makes up this world are not smarter than you and you should make good choices and believing that being smart and generous is real.

                I think the quote means that you should make your own choices and not go by what people say and to go with what you think.  It also means you can make good goals, decisions, choices, and on making a world a better place.  When he said that everything around you that call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it and influence it, I think that means you can be strong about what goes on in life and you can change your ways on being a better person than what other people around you are being.  The other thing is believe is you should go by what you think and no what other people think and be grateful and especially smart.
