Journal - What are you weekend plans?
My weekend plans for this weekend is going to Legends and a fancy restaurant with my family so it's kind of a family weekend. On Saturday like i said were going to Legends and maybe somewhere else and then were going out to eat for dinner at Apple Bees or Red Lobster. Then on Sunday i'm getting my homecoming dress and shoes for next week. Probably when we get home from getting my dress, my family and i will watch movies and cook dinner. I cannot remember what else but that's all i have in store.

Journal - Most students view siting work as 'a pain in the butt'. How do you feel about it? Is it necessary? When is it appropriate to cite work? What's the importance of it?
My personal opinion about citing work can be difficult sometimes but usually i think i can go through with making citations through out my work. I also feel that citing work is important while tying an essay especially but i don't usually feel like citing my work since it has to much work involved and i get why most people do not like to cite their work. It is necessary because it is important and it will help you remember your facts and all of your work you typed out or written. It is appropriate to cite work during school if you have an assignment that includes work that should be cited in order to know how you got the information and the importance is to make sure you received all of your work shown.

Journal - What is your favorite book, magazine, or publication? Why?
My favorite book is Beastly by Alex Flinn. Beastly is my favorite book because it is interesting even through the beginning and i saw the movie also and i thought that was really good to and it is now one of my favorites movies and books. This book is also my favorite movie because it had a very good meaning to every one by saying that everyone is beautiful and you or no one should judge the way you look and a guy experiences what it is like to feel ugly since he had always made fun of other people just by the way they looked especially the witch that turned him into having an ugly face. But it made me realize i should be grateful with the way i look and i love the characters in the movie.

Journal - Do you enjoy writing? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why is writing an essential skill in life? How will you use this skill in the future?
Yes i actually do enjoy writing. The type of writing i enjoy would be fiction stories or anything. Writing is an essential skill in life because it will help you become a better reader and writer and will also make you have some good goals. Writing is something that we all do at some point in time and it really helps you achieve good goals like school or work or anything that is important. I will use writing for important subjects and events during my classes and anything educated so i will become a better writer. I will also use writing in the future because sometimes when i'm bored i like to write about fiction stories when i feel like it because i think its interesting and kind of fun to do while you become a better writer later on in the future.

Journal - What is creating an outline for a paper important? Do you think it helps you personally? How would you prefer to outline a paper - pen and paper or an online tool? Is there a different way you know if that would prefer to organize your thoughts?
While creating an outline for a paper it is important if you are organized because there is more data and information that you need in order to create an important outline for paper. It does help you so you will have everything you need and it will also help you so your outline is organized and is important. I would use an online tool because you can store all of your information on the site or documents. Or you could even place it in a folder or binder if you want to write it out with pen and pencil so you can have it at all times.

Journal - Tell me about your weekend. Where did you go? What did you do?
This weekend i did some fun stuff but it was OK. I think the most fun i did this weekend was going to the movies with my mom and sis on Saturday. The movie we saw was "Insidious Chapter 2" and it's a scary movie. I think it was the most fun because my sis and i got scared but my mom really didn't because she doesn't get scared easily. Then the next day my family and i went to have dinner with my grandparents since we haven't seen them in awhile. The time we got back to our house was around 9:00 or 9:15 and it was on a school night but it was worth it. Even though it still wasn't my best weekend i still had fun with my family.

Journal - Who do you look up to in life? Why? What have they done to help you or guide you?
The person i look up to in life is one of my favorite singers Demi Lovato. I look up to her in life because i think she is a strong person and she encourages others to feel beautiful and happy inside and out and to be proud of who you are. Even though she has gone through some difficult times, she still tries her best to be who she is and she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her and i respect that. What she has done over the years has been inspiring and when i first saw how great of a person and singer she was, she became one of my idols and i have respect for her. One time she quoted saying to all the girls to wipe off all of your makeup and show everyone how beautiful you are and she made me feel like i should be happy with the way i look and to be grateful about my self.

Journal - What is good email etiquette and why is it essential in the "real" world? How can having good email etiquette put you ahead?
Good email etiquette is when your email is well-written, neat, and you would feel confident about sending your email to someone. It is essential to the real world because most people feel like in order to create a good email they need to memorize and learn the real meaning of a good email etiquette. Also most people send emails everyday so they can communicate with the person they are trying to reach in order to get what they need. By having a good email etiquette you should always read over your email before you send it.

Journal - If there was one big global issue in the world that you could fix, what would it be? A cure for cancer? Save the rain forest? Stop pollution? Think about it and then write about it. Why would you choose that specific issue?
The one big global issue in the world i would fix is cure for cancer. I would want o fix a cure for cancer because it is very upsetting to see your loved ones have to go through it and you would have to see them get hurt and you would not have much time with them like you used to. I chose this topic because everything would be better and other people wouldn't be sad about what their family or friend is going through and you would not have to worry so much. If i could change a cure for cancer it would make everyone happy and most people who do have cancer have to deal with the pain every single day and the people they love around them have to see them suffer and you do not want to them sick and they want them to be healthy and better.

Journal - On Friday we discussed Public Service Announcements. In your own words tell me what they are and what their purpose is. If you could create a PSA what would your topic be? Why?
Public Service Announcements is something that is announcing important topics on television or the radio about something that should be announced around the world and something that is also a warning to others so they should know what not to do in case of dangerous situations or tragedies that has happen to a love one very important. If i actually created a PSA my topic would be about Cyber bullying because I've seen a lot of people on websites i am aware of and cyber bullying is wrong and it does hurt others and makes them feel unwanted by all of these mean comments they are posting online about that person. Another reason why i would choose cyber bullying is because it is popular in most states and i think we should encourage people on not making fun of others because it can lead them to bad things and it is not right.
